P R O D U C T I O N
Girlfriend is a musical following the summer romance of two high school graduates the summer before one leaves for college. The piece compliments the sweet and sensitive blossoming of their relationship with the '90s ballads of Matthew Sweet. Our production sought to highlight the sensitivity of the piece through emphasis on the characters perceptions of each other and themselves, paying particular attention to what is said and unsaid.
